Bauhaus/ Dessau & Berlin

The Bauhaus's idea to rethink, reshape, and re-identify design while giving  modern art a fresh start is why this(once) college holds such a strong influence  among the rest of the world's art scene. For this reason, I am most looking forward to visiting this (now) museum and be able to witness firsthand why the Bauhaus is such an influence on the worldwide art and design scene.  Specifically, I am looking forward to visiting the Masterhauser (master house) to learn more about the biography of the Bauhaus. I am also super excited to visit Dessau and Berlin! In my opinion, to visit a country where so much significant history has taken place is an incredible honor. There is no better way to absorb or learn about the culture and history of a country than to experience it first hand. On my free days,  I hope to visit many of the attractions that Dessau has to offer; The Junkers Museum and The Georgium Park are definitely on my to-do list! In addition, during our time in Berlin I hope to gain as much knowledge as possible about the history and culture. I am most excited to visit the Berlin Wall, the Holocaust Museum, and the Grunewald Forest. I am curious to see and experience the difference between the geography of Germany's nature compared to that of America.
